What looks like a franchise but isn’t? Running a healthy vending machine business.

You have to purchase the machines, work out deals with other businesses to have a place to keep them, and keep them stocked constantly. There is no one checking on you as a franchisor would. No one to support you in your business growth. This is a business license and there is no motivation from the franchisor to make sure you succeed. They already have your money.

If you do it well, like I did, you can grow your business by 700%. You can make it work, but it’s not a franchise. And it will take a lot of your time and energy to keep the business running with little to no support from the “franchise”.

That’s why I sold my vending machine business and moved into the world of franchise consulting.
